UnitedHealthcare on Thursday said it will provide millions of its members access to Apple Fitness+, the first fitness service built entirely around Apple Watch.

Beginning Nov. 1, about 3 million fully insured UnitedHealthcare members who own an Apple Watch can enroll with Apple Fitness+ for a no cost year-long subscription, UnitedHealthcare said.

Next year, employers with self-funded health plans will be able to purchase an "Apple Fitness Bundle," which includes a 12-month subscription to Apple Fitness+ and a $25 Apple digital gift card, UnitedHealthcare said.

"Making Apple Fitness+ available to millions of UnitedHealthcare members is part of our broader effort to help people engage in their well-being and get and stay healthier," said Rebecca Madsen, chief consumer officer at UnitedHealthcare.

UnitedHealthcare is a UnitedHealth Group company.
