Alstom's Chinese joint venture Bombardier Sifang (Qingdao) Transportation Ltd. (BST)[1] has been awarded two contracts by the China Railway Guangzhou Bureau Group Co., Ltd to provide heavy maintenance service for 592 high-speed train cars (74 trains), which were manufactured by BST for China's evolving high-speed rail network. Together, the two contracts are valued at around 50 million euro (382 million CNY incl. VAT).
BST will provide maintenance services to China Railway Guangzhou Bureau that covers A3 maintenance (maintenance of key parts and components) for 34 CRH1A trains and CRH1B trains, as well as 16 CR400AF fleets, in addition to performing A4 maintenance (system breakdown maintenance) for 24 CRH1A-A trains. All maintenance activities will be completed by the end of February 2022. This agreement marks BST's entry into the CR400AF heavy maintenance field, enabling BST to develop and enhance its capacity for future CR400AF heavy maintenance projects.
