Al-Arafah Islami Bank PLC., formerly Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd., is a banking company. The Company's principal activity is to provide a range of financial services, including commercial banking, consumer banking, trade finance, and other related custody and clearing services to the customers. The Company conducts its business on the principles of Musharaka, Bai-Murabaha, Bai-Muazzal and Hire Purchase transactions approved by Bangladesh Bank. It has approximately eight branches in Bangladesh. The Company has over 208 branches all over the country. Its subsidiaries include AIBL Capital Market Services Limited and AIBL Capital Management Limited. AIBL Capital Market Services Limited is in the business of stock broking and dealing in the capital market. AIBL Capital Management Limited is in the business of merchant banking in all its aspects, including issue management, portfolio management, underwriting, corporate advisory services, pre-IPO placement, and investment analysis and research.
