WASHINGTON, September 24, 2021-This morning, World Bank Group President David Malpass met with Flemming Møller Mortensen, Minister for Development Cooperation of Denmark.

President Malpass highlighted the World Bank Group's response to COVID-19, particularly accelerating access of COVID-19 vaccines to developing countries. President Malpass and Minister Mortensen discussed the importance of investing in primary health care, strengthening health systems, and providing vaccines.

President Malpass highlighted the World Bank Group's new Climate Change Action Plan for 2021-2025 and its emphasis on results, diagnostics, adaptation, and integrating climate and development.

President Malpass welcomed Denmark's strong support for IDA and emphasized the importance of a strong and successful IDA20 replenishment. President Malpass and Minister Mortensen discussed close alignment on development priorities under IDA, including energy access, climate action, gender, fragility, and debt.
