Shares of power producers rose as Treasury yields slipped at the end of a wildly volatile week.

A powerful storm with heavy snow and gusty winds will barrel through parts of the U.S. East Coast this weekend, likely triggering power outages.

New York utility Con Edison said "intense storms and heat waves are becoming more frequent and destructive," in a press release about proposed rate hikes intended to fund investments in clean energy and reliability.
