LONDON, Oct 23 (Reuters) - Global crude steel production rose 2.9% to 156.4 million tonnes in September from a year earlier, World Steel Association data showed on Friday.
Crude steel output from China, the world's top producer and consumer of the metal, increased 10.9% to 92.6 million tonnes in September. (Reporting by Eric Onstad; Editing by Mark Potter)
