FTSE 100 Set to Fall After Mixed Asia, US Trading

0644 GMT - The FTSE 100 looks set to open about 18 points lower at 7073, according to IG data, after mixed trading in Asia and on Wall Street. Markets in mainland China and Hong Kong make gains, but Japan's Nikkei is 1% lower. The Dow closed 0.1% higher, but the Nasdaq was down 0.2%. "Asia market reaction has been mixed, with markets here in Europe set to open lower," CMC analyst Michael Hewson says. (philip.waller@wsj.com)
