International stocks trading in New York closed mostly lower on Tuesday.

The S&P/BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts fell 0.2% to 142.95. The European index dropped 0.1% to 138.45, the Asian index declined 0.6% to 164.86, the Latin American index rose 1.2% to 186.01 and the emerging markets index fell 0.2% to 281.03.

Thyssenkrupp AG and Airbus SE were among the companies with ADRs that traded actively.

ADRs of Thyssenkrupp declined 2.4% after it said Thyssenkrupp Materials Services acquired data analysis and data science company Westphalia DataLab GmbH. The acquisition is part of the company's mission to strengthen its expertise in digital supply chain services and accelerate the development of concrete solutions.

ADRs of Airbus fell 0.6% after the airplane maker withdrew its 2022 commercial-aircraft delivery target due to a difficult market environment and supply-chain challenges.
