Kenyan shilling weakens due to manufacturing sector demand

The Kenyan shilling weakened on Friday due to dollar demand from the energy and manufacturing sectors, traders said.

At 0840 GMT, commercial banks quoted the shilling at 106.55/75 per dollar, compared with 106.45/65 at Thursday's close.
