Dornbirn, Austria - The extraordinary General Meeting of the Zumtobel Group, which was originally scheduled for 27 March 2020 and postponed due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, was held today as a virtual general meeting in accordance with the COVID-19 health regulations, to protect shareholders and other participants.

The agenda consisted of the election of new members to the Supervisory Board. With this election, the two long-standing Supervisory Board members Dipl. Ing. Jürg Zumtobel (83 years old), former Chairman of the Supervisory Board, and Dipl. Ing. Fritz Zumtobel (80 years old) bid their farewell. Both had already decided in February to retire early from the Supervisory Board, thus paving the way for new appointments to and a rejuvenation of the Supervisory Board of the Zumtobel Group.

Dr Ing. Georg Pachta-Reyhofen, former CEO of the listed mechanical engineering group MAN SE, was newly appointed to the Supervisory Board. Additionally, Professor Dr Thorsten Staake, Chair of Information Systems and Energy Efficient Systems at the University of Bamberg, was also elected to the Supervisory Board. The two new Supervisory Board members have been appointed for four years until the Annual General Meeting 2024.

With the changes taking effect on 18 May 2020, the new Supervisory Board of the Zumtobel Group still consists of six members elected by the General Meeting. Karin Zumtobel-Chammah was appointed new Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board, and Dr Ing. Georg Pachta-Reyhofen is the Vice Chairman.
