Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, has operated today two rescue flights to bring home 374 Macedonian passengers who have been stuck in Malta and Zagreb (in Croatia) due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The rescue flights are the result of a cooperation between Wizz Air and the Government of the Republic of Northern Macedonia with Wizz Air responding promptly to the opportunity to help passengers in need.
The first flight bringing back Macedonian passengers from Malta will arrive in Skopje at 14:50 local time, while the second, will arrive at 18:30 local time from Zagreb. Wizz Air decided to step in and help its passengers to get back home safe and fast. In this challenging period Wizz Air is convinced that unity is the best way to overcome difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and remains loyal to its mission of serving passengers in Macedonia.
