JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) _ Verisk Analytics Inc. (VRSK) on Tuesday reported fourth-quarter profit of $132.2 million.

The Jersey City, New Jersey-based company said it had net income of 80 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $1.13 per share.

The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.12 per share.

The insurance data provider posted revenue of $676.8 million in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $669.1 million.

For the year, the company reported profit of $449.9 million, or $2.70 per share. Revenue was reported as $2.61 billion.

Verisk shares have increased 15% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $171.56, a climb of 37% in the last 12 months.
