He joins Savills with 24 years agricultural consultancy experience, gained latterly at Laurence Gould Partnership. He previously held consultancy appointments on the Isle of Man, Lanark and Shetland with SAC.

Andrew said: 'It is an interesting and challenging time for Scottish land managers and farmers, with market and political uncertainties and of course Brexit and all the volatility these bring to trading relationships and support mechanisms, as well the undoubted opportunities.'

'There is increasing demand to provide a broad cross-section of clients, from small family farms to large arable and mixed estates with a holistic, multi-disciplinary approach. The scale and depth of Savills business allows me as a food and farming specialist to work with experts in forestry, energy, environment, strategic business growth, as well as planning and development to solve clients challenges and help them capitalise on new opportunities.'

With a hill sheep farming background in the Highlands, Andrew started his consultancy career with SAC Farm Business Services immediately after graduating from Edinburgh University. He is experienced in providing technical and business advice to a wide range of farm types including dairy, beef, sheep and arable, as well as to a range of processing facilities and government bodies.

Away from work Andrew enjoys spending time with family and friends, and getting out on the motorbike whenever time allows.

Hugo Struthers Head of Savills Rural, Energy and Projects Division in Scotland, said: 'We are very pleased to welcome Andrew to Savills. His wealth of experience and entrepreneurial abilities will be of great benefit to our Food and Farming clients at what is an exciting time for the sector.'
