OMV Petrom helps facilitate access to education during the pandemic in rural areas

Investment in education is one of the main pillars of OMV Petrom's social commitment. During the COVID-19 crisis, the main focus was also on supporting the education system.

The digitalization of the education system took place overnight, but the school system was not yet prepared for this rapid change. To address this issue, our assistance was targeted at vulnerable children and their teachers in primary schools in rural areas to help them stay connected to school via electronic devices. OMV Petrom supported initiatives to train teachers how to use online tools for home schooling.
