Fifth Third today announced a $100,000 donation to the American Red Cross in support of relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Florence. The donation is designated for the states of North Carolina and South Carolina and is being funded through the Fifth Third Foundation.

Fifth Third Regional President Lee Fite, said, “In the wake of Hurricane Florence, we understand that our fellow citizens, many of them our employees and customers, are hurting and encountering hardship from the hurricane and the flooding it left in its wake. It’s important for us to financially support relief efforts.”

Lives have been permanently changed. With this gift, Fifth Third will restore hope and give much-needed relief to the residents of North Carolina and South Carolina who’ve been completely devastated by Hurricane Florence.”
