Eucatex SA Industria e Comercio is a Brazil-based company primarily engaged in the manufacture of wooden panels and paints. The Company produces and sells hardboard, medium density fiberboard (MDF), thin high density fiberboard (THDF), medium density particleboard (MDP), laminate flooring and doors, among others. Through its subsidiaries, the Company is also active in the production and sale of decorative paints and varnishes, forestry activities and electric energy distribution. As of December 31, 2011, the Company operated four industrial units and approximately 45,400 hectares of forest located in the Brazilian state of Sao Paulo. As of December 31, 2011, the Company's direct subsidiaries were Eucatex Tintas e Vernizes Ltda, Eucatex Distribuidora de Solventes Ltda, Eucatex of North America Inc, Tambore Ind e Com Prod Met Ltda, Eucatex Comercial e Logistica Ltda, Novo Prisma Agro-Florestal Ltda, Eucatex Imobiliaria Ltda and ECTX SA.
