The environment in OML 40 consists of shoreline and coastal mangrove swamps. The OML 40 license includes Opuama, Gbetiokun, Polobo, Abiala and Amobe. The Ubima Field covers an area of approximately 65 square kilometers and is located onshore in the northern part of Rivers State.
