As from today, Maria Simonson will take on the role as Head of Group Societal Impact & Sustainability in Danske Bank.

Maria Simonson comes from a position as Head of Societal Impact & Sustainability for Danske Bank in Sweden. She has been in Danske Bank since 2002 in various positions across the bank e.g. as product specialist and debt originator in Structured Finance and Property Finance, Head of the International Corporate Banking Unit and the Swedish State Contract.

Since 2014, Maria has worked with Danske Bank Sweden's strategic growth initiatives within sustainability. First as senior advisor for Strategy and Sustainability and for the past three years as Head of Societal Impact and Sustainability in Sweden.

Reporting line to Berit Behring

Maria Simonson will have direct reporting line to Berit Behring, who is responsible for Danske Bank's Societal Impact & Sustainability agenda in the Executive Leadership Team.
