Amazon makes second healthcare acquisition
Tech giant Amazon has acquired a healthcare startup called Health Navigator, which offers technology and services to digital health companies. This is Amazon's second acquisition in the healthcare market, following the Pill Pack acquisition last year. Health Navigator will join the Amazon Care group - a pilot initiative designed to serve as a medical benefit for employees. Incidentally, the company has also announced three new renewable energy projects in the US and UK as part of its Climate Pledge.

Netflix launches mobile-only plan for Malaysia
SVOD giant Netflix has rolled out its inexpensive, mobile-only plan for subscribers in Malaysia. The plan will cost RM 17 ($4) per month and offer access to Netflix's content in Standard Definition, ad-free, on one mobile phone or tablet at a time. Netflix first launched its mobile-only plan in India earlier this year.Read more here
Apple TV+ to become a $9 billion business by 2025?
According to Morgan Stanley analyst Katy Huberty, Apple will grow its services business by 20% next year boosted by its upcoming video streaming service - Apple TV+. Huberty has estimated that Apple TV+ can become a $9 billion business by 2025 with 136 million paid subscribers. This is based on a conservative estimate that only one in ten Apple users will sign up for the service.Read more here
Nielsen can now measure Amazon Prime Video
Market research firm Nielsen has announced that it can now measure the viewership on Amazon Prime Video through its Subscription Video on Demand Content Ratings solution. The product was first launched two years ago, with a focus on measuring Netflix viewership. However, the firm will only be able to measure Amazon Prime Video streams taking place in the US through TVs.Read more here
YouTube to release its first interactive original on 30th October
YouTube has debuted the trailer for its interactive original show titled A Heist with Markiplier, which is slated for release on 30th October. Interactive shows have received a major boost after Netflix released Bandersnatch to much praise last year. YouTube has been bringing a lot of changes to its original programming to ensure higher visibility and reach.Read more here
