Applied Materials : Names Librie Director of ESG, Corporate Sustainability, Reporting

Applied Materials Inc. on Monday said it named Chris Librie director of ESG, corporate sustainability and reporting.

The Santa Clara, Calif., maker of semiconductor equipment said the appointment strengthens its commitment to its environmental, social and governance strategy and will help accelerate its ESG programs and solutions.

Applied Materials said Mr. Librie most recently served as director of corporate social responsibility at Samsung Semiconductor Inc. and previously led ESG and corporate sustainability programs at eBay Inc. and HP Inc.
